HEAD TEACHERS

Welcome

I am proud to welcome you to our new independent
specialist school for children with learning difficulties,
autism and associated needs. I am privileged to
lead a school that believes in educating the whole
child and prioritises mental, physical and emotional
health alongside academic achievements.

At Courtlands we know that every child has the
capacity to learn, grow and achieve, whatever their
starting point.

I have 14 years experience as a Head Teacher
working with children with additional needs, I have
seen them struggle with the demands and restrictions
of mainstream education. A student may have had
negative experiences in other schools and may have
lost sight of themselves as a learner. At Courtlands,
we do things differently. An experienced and
skilled team of staff will support students
with their academic, pastoral and
therapeutic needs to become happy
and independent members of
their community.
